Snorkeling

BALI is a scuba, spear fishing, and snorkeling center, famous among divers for marine-life, superb visibility, and sensational drop-offs. Bali's coastline and numerous offshore islands offer a wide range of snorkeling and diving locations. There are excellent snorkeling opportunities available at all of the dive sites in Bali. A full day snorkeling tour is fully inclusive of equipment, lunch and refreshments, guide, and transfer.

Snorkeling is a great adventure and anyone can do it, even safe activity for children. Snorkeling can be enjoyed anywhere there's scuba diving, if an area has good coral reefs, there will be snorkeling gear for rent. Abundant marine-life can be enjoyed are on the reefs off Sanur, Nusa Dua, Benoa, all accessible by boat and where all the relevant equipment can be hired.

Further a field, good destinations include Nusa Penida and Nusa Lembongan, Padangbai, Candidasa, Tulamben and Amed, Lovina and the amazing Menjangan Island. Enclosed by a spectacular coral reef, this Island is the best place in Bali to go snorkelling. Coral gardens are to be seen in many parts of Bali. All that is required is a mask and snorkel. For some deeper dives flippers or fins are helpful.

Snorkelers are generally welcome on dive excursions, which should include the rental of mask, fins and snorkel. When signing up for snorkeling trip, be sure to ask exactly how many hours the schedule includes for snorkeling, as a number of the bigger outfits sandwich a mere half an hour's "free time" between sightseeing. A number of courses are available including PADI, CMAS and SSI certificates.
