Things To Bring

  • Check your travel insurance does it cover your activities.
  • Wherever you go, even you want to spend your time on the beach, don't forget to bring sunblock. The Bali sun is very strong and you'll be exposed to it for much of the day. A burn will ruin your whole trip.
  • Don't forget the tops of your ears and wear protective, loose, comfortable clothing. It is recommended to bring swimsuits and towel, in case you want to swim.
  • Always cover your head with a scarf or hat, and if wearing shorts, the backs of your knees. They can also help keep you cool and save you from burning. But, you'll have to hold on to them the whole day, so don't bring the ones you'll be upset about losing.
  • Consider bringing raingear or sunglasses. Always check weather reports to see if you'll need it for a few minutes or hours.
  • Forget high fashion, you want to be able to enjoy all your days at the venues. Wear cool and comfortable clothing. Since many of the venues have water rides that are designed to get you wet and cool you off; you might want to also consider the see through factor of your clothing if it gets wet.
  • Wear clothing to protect against poison of plants, ivy or sumac. This generally means wearing long socks, keeping your feet covered and, if at all possible, wearing long pants. Light-colored clothing and broad-brimmed hats can help protect against ticks, as can tucking your pants into your socks. Around dusk, be sure you're wearing clothing that will protect you from mosquitoes.
  • Bring extra clothing. It may get too warm and you may wish to strip down, or it may become unexpectedly chilly or wet.
  • Wear cool, comfortable and supportive shoes. You are going to spend a lot of time on your feet. Bring an extra pair of shoes and socks to leave in your car, in case one pair gets wet.
  • Carry a small first aid kit with you in case of an emergency.
  • Be sure to take plenty of water along, especially if traveling to remote areas.
  • Make sure to carry calorie-dense food such as energy bars, chocolate, hard-boiled eggs, sweets, and nuts. These are generally lightweight and provide the necessary energy to keep you going.
  • You might bring a collapsible plastic water cup to assist you at the drinking fountains and a fanny pack to do the work of carrying all the items you'll need.
